01 · Explore the truck options
Dry van, flatbed and reefer trucks serve different freight needs. The calculator uses reference prices of US$60,000, US$80,000 and US$120,000 respectively. Actual vehicle availability, condition and purchase documents should be confirmed with your agent.
02 · Calculate your ownership
Divide your purchase amount by the truck’s agreed price. US$600 against an US$80,000 flatbed represents 0.75%. The same amount against a US$60,000 dry van represents 1%. The maximum illustrated purchase is half of a truck.
03 · Review the documents
Ask how your ownership is recorded, which vehicle identification number is attached to it, whether there are existing liens, and who holds title. Review the income agreement, expense allocation, management fee, insurance terms and buyback provisions before making any commitment.
04 · Understand the income waterfall
Truck revenue first covers operating expenses, including fuel, drivers, maintenance and insurance. Radius’s 30% management fee applies to profit after those expenses. Your ownership percentage applies to the remaining 70%. Revenue and your personal income are not the same figure.
05 · Read an example
For an US$80,000 flatbed, US$600 represents 0.75% ownership. At an illustrative US$1,400 daily truck profit before the management fee, the owner pool is US$980. Your 0.75% share is US$7.35 per operating day, or US$183.75 over 25 days. This is an illustration, not a promised payment.
06 · Keep income and exit separate
Earnings arise from operations; a buyback transfers your share back to the company. Requesting a withdrawal of available income is different from selling the underlying ownership interest. Review both arrangements and their conditions with the team.
